Kota Kinabalu Twestival 2010

The problem with having too much fun on a Thursday night, is that it feels extremely boring not to be doing anything on a Friday night. (Thesis writing, I repeat, does not qualify as FUN.)

I'm bored. And it's only 7pm. Bah.

As promised, here's a less short and less still sweet entry of the KK Twestival which happened yesterday. Which, by the way, was a succes. (The grand total is still yet to be known, but we did good.)

So.

Yes.

Writer's block, dammit.

Let's start with volunteers showing up early and being put to cutting cutting cutting stuff...more birds, raffle tickets, food vouchers, etc. And stringing the little birdies. And hanging them up. Adriance and I had to cut letters out with a blade (do you know how hard it is to cut the letter 'S'?) and stuck them up on the wall.

Volunteers were all in black...with tags. My lanyard was red 'cos I'm a Boss (a lousy one at that).

We ushers basically had nothing to do, so we mingled and busy-bodied around. I ended up serving food and stealing food messing with people's heads. Then 'cos someone was being over-excited and was cheering too loudly by herself for her own good, I joined her to at least form a Sound Machine Duo (which turned into a Group).

Food servers started off serving Miss Sabah Marie Bibiana Baxter...that's like the best time to get food 'cos food was aplenty so we were pretty generous (and not to mention a bit vague on the portion bit).

HoneyBee was selling her cupcakes for RM10 per box. These cute yummy birdie cupcakes! And all proceeds go to the children! How about that?

Jonathan Tse performed his all-original songs (and a coupla covers).

Angelina Perete and Robert Wang performed.

The auction was KRAZY. It's amazing how generous people can be "for the children". Bottles of wine went off in a flash, The Bag Bar's special Birdie Bag fetched an awesome amount of RM350.

The guys were also auctioned off (everyone fetching more than RM100) ...

... all for the sake of the children. The impoverished children who'll be going to school thank all of you good people.

Great job everyone, a great job indeed. *self-pat on back*

Ha. Looks like I managed to keep it short and sweet after all :)

DON'T FORGET IT'S EARTH HOUR THIS SATURDAY THE 27th MARCH 2010!

Cheer's y'all and have a good weekend.
